Spicy Sauteed Broccoli

This is a simple, quick and delicious way to prepare broccoli as a side dish. This goes really well with the Mandarin Orange Chicken.

Prep time: 3 minutes

Cooking time: ~ 5 minutes

Serves: 4+


  • 1-2 T extra virgin olive oil or coconut oil

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 2 - 3 heads of broccoli

  • ¼ t red chili pepper flakes

  • Himalayan salt or sea salt to taste

  • Freshly ground pepper to taste


  • Chop the broccoli into bite sized pieces

  • Warm a large skillet on medium heat

  • Add olive oil or coconut oil to the skillet

  • Press or finely chop the garlic and add to the skillet, cook for 1 minute

  • Add broccoli, chili pepper flakes, salt and pepper to skillet and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently until the garlic is dark green and still crisp.
