Sometimes life gets in the way of meeting your fitness goals. Work, school, kid stuff, travel… the list of things that get in the way can get pretty long. In those times where life gets in the way, you have to make a concerted effort to fit in fitness. Or maybe you’ve been wanting to start working out and haven’t found a way to fit it into your already busy life.
Just do something. Maybe you normally work out (or want to work out) 3 times a week for 45 minutes but there’s too much going on to make that work. Could you fit in two 30 minute workouts in a week? That’s one hour out of 168 hours in a week. That’s about ½ of 1% of your week. And if taking the time to get to a gym is a problem, do those short workouts at home. There are some great workouts you can do at home on the “Just Getting Started” workout pages.
Getting out for short walks or runs or cycling are good too.
And remember that working out isn’t just for fitness. It helps lower your stress levels and helps you sleep better. Make the time. You’ll be happy you did.
