Day two of my international trip and I’m actually surprised by how easy it’s been to find and eat Paleo-type foods. I say Paleo-type because I know that I’m not eating grass fed beef and pasture raised meats. But at the same time, I’m not eating packaged, manufactured foods.
The Westin hotel I’m staying at in Warsaw has a pretty decent breakfast buffet with several egg options, bacon and sausages, different fresh fruits and even a couple of salads. So breakfast for the next couple of weeks is covered. And fortunately the cafe in the office building where I’m going has several good options as well. Today they had both chicken and pork entrees and some salads. And even dinner tonight was an easy choice. Thai food! Yes, I had Thai food in Poland and it was good. Green curry with chicken and shrimp.
Working out was a slight challenge. I wasn’t able to do the heavy deadlifts that were in today’s workout… the heaviest weights there are 22 kilo (almost 50 lb) dumbbells. So I just did more reps with those. Everything else I was pretty much able to do. I'm sure I'll have to improvise a bit for the workouts the rest of this week and next.
So it’s not perfect, but it’s doable. I’m making it work.
