Today's 1% Change: Eat Right While Traveling

As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm traveling for a couple weeks for my new job. This trip is 2 weeks long so I'll have plenty of chances to test eating right when in strange places. 


Of course the first problem I had was with the food they served on the 9+ hour flight to France. It was 75% awful, 25% okay. 


The first snack was some almonds and some pretzels. Don't need no high carb pretzels. I'm sitting on a plane for 9 hours doing nothing! The last thing I need is carbs! Almonds are great.  

When I'm on a flight, my goal is to eat enough so that I'm not ravenous at the end of the flight.  And I alwys have low expectations if its a flight where they're serving food. 


On my flight there was a choice of pasta, chicken or shrimp. I chose the chicken. And it was horrible. There was also a green salad with dressing on the side. Don't use the dressing. Don't eat the roll. Eat the cheese. Go for the protein and good fats. Don't eat the carbs. If you do, you'll be hungry soon when your insulin spikes then plummets   


The pic above was my first meal in Warsaw. It's a Bakon Bakon Burger and some sweet potato fries. It was pretty good and only $9!
