Sometimes your body is trying to tell you something, but you don’t listen.
We’re all different, so the foods that I can eat, or eat a lot of, might be different from what you can eat.
Not long after I switched to eating Paleo, I started getting little eczema-like rashes. Nothing bad… they were more like bug bites than anything. But then they got worse. They itched like crazy! I started using topical creams and even saw a dermatologist to try to figure it out. What was happening? I was eating better than I’d ever eaten in my life and I’m getting rashes? What the heck?
It took me a while but I figured out that it was nuts. Nuts! I really like nuts. And when I switched to Paleo, I was eating a lot more nuts… apparently way too many of them. So I stopped eating nuts and the rashes went away. I can still eat nuts but I just don’t go overboard. If the little rashes start coming back, that’s my signal to back off.
So if you have nagging little problem, with digestion, or skin issues, or maybe even difficulty sleeping, listen to your body and start thinking about what you might be eating that could be triggering the issue.
